"We all hear the statistics, but the majority of Memphians know a very different city."

Memphis is a great place to live! 26 years ago, on a breezy morning in late March, I was born in Memphis,Tn. I've lived here all my life and I've seen this city go through quite a few changes. From The Memphis Belle being moved to Mud Island to the start of the Trolley operations, from Mayor Herenton to Mayor Wharton and the more recent School Consolidation are only a few stories that have grabbed headlines during my life-time. Unfortunately, we've also made some headlines that have been less than flattering. Like, being consistently ranked at the top of the list of cities with the highest crime. We all hear the statistics and see it on the news at night, but the majority of Memphians know a very different city. A city of love, a city of hope and opportunity! This blog will alert and create awareness to crime and danger in our city, but we also want to highlight the good in Memphis! Among which are some of the most extraordinary organizations, whose primary purpose and concern is for the health and improvement of the citizens in this great city! This platform will highlight those organizations and the people who run them, as well as provide you with the information you need to protect yourself, your family, and your neighbors! We are excited about the growing improvement that's happening in our community and our goal is to amplify the Memphis that we know, the city that we love!
